Detectives have charged a man with murder following an incident in Manunda overnight.
It will be alleged at approximately 8.15pm an argument occurred at a Melaleuca Street house between two men, during which one of the men sustained a single stab wound to the neck.
Emergency crews attended however, the 62-year-old Aurukun man, died at the scene.
A 63-year-old Manunda man, who is known to the deceased, was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
He will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, March 21.
