Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command Homicide Group and Gatton Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man in relation to the alleged murder of 49-year-old Upper Lockyer woman Frances Elizabeth Crawford in July.
Emergency crews were initially called to a report of an alleged incident at Thomas Road property in the Lockyer Valley just before 3.40am on July 30 where the woman was located.
An investigation centre was set up with teams of detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command Homicide Group and Gatton Criminal Investigation Branch into the circumstances that lead to her death.
This morning detectives arrested a 47-year-old man and he has since been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence offence) and misconduct with a corpse by interfering. He is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday, October 11.
Investigations are continuing and there is no further information.
