Police Lay Robbery Charges At Alexandra Hills

Police have charged two people following an alleged robbery at Alexandra Hills last night, December 23.

It will be alleged that at about 11:00 pm, two people entered the Cambridge Drive business before threatening an employee with a knife before they fled with a quantity of money and a mobile phone.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Following initial investigations by the Bayside Child Protection and Investigation Unit, officers recovered the stolen property and relevant clothing at two Alexandra Hills addresses.

Officers today reattended one of those addresses and took two teenage boys into custody.

A 16-year-old Alexandra Hills boy has been charged with enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, Robbery in company, and deprivation of liberty.

A 13-year-old Alexandra Hills boy has been charged with entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, Robbery in company, and deprivation of liberty.

Both boys were refused police bail and are due to appear in Brisbane Children's Court on December 26.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone who may have any information that may assist to come forward.
