A man reported missing from Carrathool in the state's Riverina district has been located deceased.
The 50-year-old man was reported missing after last being seen in Gordon Street on Saturday (13 February 2021).
Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were notified and following a coordinated search of the area yesterday (Tuesday 16 February 2020), the body of a man was located in the river about 1.40pm.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner as inquiries into the man's death continue.
