A 25-year-old man has been charged with nine offences after an incident yesterday (3 February 2020), involving Traffic Enforcement Group officers and Armadale Detectives.
About 6.15am, officers conducting patrols on Ranford Road in Forrestdale sighted a Ford Falcon utility with stolen registration plates. Police activated their vehicle's emergency lights and siren and it is alleged the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and accelerated away.
At the roundabout intersection of Ranford Road, Lake Road and Remisko Drive, it is alleged the Ford collided with another vehicle which caused that vehicle to be pushed into the side of another vehicle. No-one was injured in the crash but all vehicles were extensively damaged.
It is further alleged after the crash the driver of the Ford Falcon fled on foot and was apprehended by police a short distance away.
During a search of the Ford Falcon, it is alleged police located and seized a black full face mask, a shotgun stock, and shotgun shells. It is further alleged a modified shotgun was located underneath the vehicle.
