Police Make Arrest After Lovely Banks Criminal Damage

A man has been arrested following an investigation by Corio police into an alleged criminal damage incident that left $50,000 worth of damaged goods.

On Thursday 26 July at about 3am a hooded offender attended a childcare centre on Cox Road Lovely Banks where it is alleged a large four metre steel structured LED display sign was unbolted and pushed over causing it to break.

Police quickly launched an investigation and went about executing warrants and collecting evidence.

On Wednesday 3 October, at about 6:30pm, a 29-year-old man handed himself in to the Corio Police Station, where he was charged with Criminal Damage.

The Whittington man was released on bail to attend the Geelong Magistrates Court on 20 November 2024.
