Police Make Arrest After Shot Fired At Birkenhead

A man has been charged with firearms offences after a shot was allegedly fired at a Birkenhead property last month.

It will be alleged that a firearm was discharged over a house in Mead Street, Birkenhead about 8.15pm on 29 January.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Following investigations, a 24-year-old Prospect man was arrested yesterday and charged with discharge firearm recklessly, aggravated possess firearm without a licence and fail to truly answer questions.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today, Monday 10 February.

Investigations are continuing.

Police wish to reassure the community that this was not a random incident.
