Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Assault - Nightcliff 5 February

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Nightcliff overnight.

About 11:15pm, police received reports that a 20-year-old female had assaulted a 15-year old female with an edged weapon on Boetdoemba Street.

The 15-year-old victim, believed to be known to the alleged offender, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries to the torso and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance.

Police arrested the 20-year-old female at the scene and she remains in custody with charges expected later today.

Investigations are ongoing to determine whether nearby vehicle damage was related to the incident.
