Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Assault - Nightcliff 1 March

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 37-year-old male in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Nightcliff overnight.

Around 7:30pm, police received reports of a 49-year-old male with a stab wound to his neck. The male was allegedly assaulted in the neck with broken glass during an altercation with his 37-year-old cousin on Progress Drive, Nightcliff.

The victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin hospital for treatment in a stable condition.

The 37-year-old alleged offender was later located and arrested.

He remains in police custody and is assisting police with inquiries.
