Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Assault In Katherine 6 September

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man after an assault in Katherine yesterday.

Around 3:10pm, police received reports a 36-year-old man had assaulted an employee of the Katherine library. The alleged offender assaulted her with a pencil, before pushing her. Staff immediately contacted police.

The victim suffered minor injuries that required first aid.

The offender fled the scene and was later located on Katherine Terrace and arrested.

He currently remains in police custody.

Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, who hasn't already done so, to make contact on 131 444 and quote reference NTP2400088221.
