Police Make Arrest - Burglaries In Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old male in relation to multiple burglaries in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 12:10am, police received a report of an intruder allegedly attempting to gain access to a premises in Gillen before fleeing the scene.

A short time later, at 12:30am, police received reports of an intruder on a premises at another residence in Gillen who fled the scene after no access was gained.

At 12:40am, a resident from another premises in Gillen reported seeing an intruder jump a fence into their back yard through CCTV footage.

Strike Force Viper conducted a coordinated response and quickly located and arrested the 20-year-old male.

The alleged offender was found to be in possession of stolen items from previous burglaries over the past week.

Investigations are ongoing.
