Police Make Arrest - Domestic Violence At Parap

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 38-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence aggravated assault that occurred in Parap overnight.

Around 6:25pm, police received reports of a physical assault on a female at the front of a licenced premises on Parap Road.

The female was treated at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious condition.

A 38-year-old male was arrested a short time later and remains in police custody with charges expected to follow.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit have carriage and continue to investigate.
