Police Make Arrest - Domestic Violence In Katherine 16 May

Northern Territory Police have arrested a woman in relation to a domestic violence incident in Katherine overnight.

At 9:30pm, police responded to reports of a woman allegedly assaulting a man on Railway Terrace with an edged weapon.

The man suffered lacerations to his hands, arms, chest and back and was conveyed to hospital in a serious condition.

The woman is known to the man, and she was arrested a short time later by general duties officers.

She remains in custody and is expected to be charged later today.

Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to make contact on 131 444.
