Police Make Arrest - Domestic Violence In Alice Springs 8 July

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 42-year-old female in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.

Around 2pm, police received reports of a disturbance on Todd Street, during which a 40-year-old female had allegedly been stabbed.

Police attended and arrested the 42-year-old female offender who is believed to be a relative of the victim.

She has subsequently been charged with Recklessly endangering life and Going armed in public. She was remanded to appear in court later today.

The victim suffered injuries to her upper body and was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.

The edged weapon used in the assault was located and seized by police.
