Police Make Arrest - Domestic Violence In Alice Springs 26 August

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 31-year-old man following an alleged assault on his partner early on Saturday morning. Just after 5:00am, witnesses reported seeing the man violently assaulting the woman on the ground in Cedar Court.

Upon police arrival, the man had fled the scene but was subsequently located and arrested. The victim, aged 36, who was rendered unconscious and suffered a broken arm, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The man was subsequently charged with Unlawfully causing serious harm and Engage in conduct that contravenes a Domestic Violence Order. The man appeared in court earlier today and was remanded to appear again in relation to the charges on the 17 October 2024.
