Police Make Arrest - Firearm Offences In Darwin

Northern Territory Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on Wednesday in Moulden.

At approximately 11:40pm on 18 September 2024, a woman contacted police after hearing a loud bang near her residence on Kafcaloudes Crescent.

Police responded swiftly and upon arrival, located a small calibre firearm near a neighbouring property.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Detectives from Serious Crime immediately began investigations and identified a person of interest.

Late yesterday afternoon a 36-years-old man was arrested and remains in custody.

He has been charged with Recklessly endanger life along with firearm and drug offences. He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

The man is known to the woman but the incident is not domestic or family violence related.
