Police Make Arrest Over Armed Robbery, Murrumba Downs

Police have charged a 23-year-old Deception Bay man following an alleged armed robbery at Murrumba Downs yesterday, November 27.

Investigations indicate that about 9am the man, whilst travelling on public transport, has allegedly approached a 38-year-old man, produced a knife and demanded property from him.

The man complied and was not physically injured.

It will then be alleged that the man got off public transport where he was located by police a few minutes later and taken into custody.

Police also allegedly located a knife on the man.

He has been charged with one count each of robbery whilst armed, serious assault, failing to dispose of a needle or syringe and possessing dangerous drugs.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today, November 28.
