A man has been arrested over a crash at Salisbury South that left a man with serious injuries.
It will be alleged that about 8.55pm on Saturday 1 June, emergency services were called to Kings Road after reports of a two-car crash involving a Holden Trax station wagon and a Holden Commodore sedan near the railway line.
The driver and sole occupant of the station wagon, a 37-year-old man from Salisbury Downs was admitted to hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 26-year-old man from Pennington, and a 26-year-old passenger from Paralowie were also taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A second passenger, a 29-year-old man from Ceduna, was admitted to hospital where he is still being treated for serious injuries.
Today (Thursday 5 September), Major Crash officers arrested the 37-year-old Salisbury Downs man, charging him with aggravated cause serious harm by dangerous driving, drink driving and driving under the influence of a prescribed drug.
He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 16 October and has been issued with an immediate loss of licence notice for an indefinite period.
Investigators have not ruled out further charges as the investigation continues.
