Police Make Arrest Over Unlawful Entry In Alice Springs 6 September

Northern Territory Police have apprehended four youths in relation to an unlawful entry in Alice Springs on Thursday night.

Around 11:35pm, police received reports that approximately six youths have allegedly gained access to a hangar at Alice Springs Airport.

Strike Force Viper and General Duties members responded arriving a short time later and located one 11-year-old, two 12-year-olds and one 13-year-old, at the premises.

All youths were apprehended and conveyed into the care of a responsible adult. The 13-year-old youth was later arrested for his involvement with the matter as well as a Serious breach of bail and taken into police custody.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leigh Yates said, "I would like to commend the officers involved for the swift apprehension and action taken.

"We will continue to combat property crime with an aim to reduce offending and keep the community safe."

"As always we continue to urge you to make contact if you witness a crime or anti-social behaviour on 131 444."
