Joondalup Detectives have charged two people with drug offences after a vehicle stop in Woodvale on Saturday 13 February 2021.
Detectives stopped the Mazda CX7 vehicle around 1.10am and it is alleged during a search of the vehicle, police located and seized:-
• Approximately 129 grams of Methylamphetamine;
• Approximately 7.7 grams of Cannabis;
• Pepper Spray;
• Drug paraphernalia;
• Prescription medication;
• $47,370 cash.
It is further alleged the passenger in the vehicle had 1.75 grams of Methylamphetamine and $6,750 in cash on his person.
Further investigative inquiries by detectives resulted in a search warrant being executed on a residence in Ashby. During the search of the home, police located and seized a further $3,055 of cash and a large amount of prescription medication.
A 36-year-old woman from Ashby was charged with:-
• 2 x Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply;
• 2 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property;
• 1 x Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Supply it to Another;
• 1 x Unlawfully Possessed a Controlled or Prescription Drug; and
• 1 x Possessed any Drug Paraphernalia in or on which there was a Prohibited Drug or Plant.
She is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 18 February 2021.
A 24-year-old man from Woodvale has been charged with:-
• 1 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property; and
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug.
He is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 11 March 2021.
