Police Make Arrests Over Firearm In Riverland

Three men have been arrested for firearms offences in the Riverland yesterday.

On Tuesday 10 September, Police searched an address on Sturt Highway at Paisley where they located and seized 16 gel blaster firearms and small quantities of illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of this search three men were arrested, a 50-year-old, a 39-year-old and an 18-year-old all from Paisley. The 39-year-old was charged with two counts of supplying a firearm to a person not authorised to acquire a firearm and failing to answer questions. He did not apply for police bail and will appear in Berri Magistrates Court today.

The other two men were charged with possessing firearms without a licence and contravening a provision of the code of practice. They were granted police bail to appear in Berri Magistrates Court on 4 November.
