Two men will face court today charged over the theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of opals from a Coober Pedy business this week.
It will be alleged that a Coober Pedy business was broken into over the long weekend and opals, cash and jewellery were stolen from a safe.
Following investigations, Coober Pedy Police allegedly identified the suspects.
Two local men, aged 33 and 22, were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft. They were refused police bail and will appear in the Coober Pedy Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing to locate the outstanding suspects and recover the stolen items.
