Police Make Arrests - Stolen Motor Vehicle - Palmerston 4 November

Northern Territory Police have arrested three youths in relation to a stolen motor vehicle incident that occurred in Palmerston yesterday morning.

Around 3.50am, police CCTV operators observed three male youths entering a hotel car park on Maluka Drive in Palmerston. The three youths allegedly stole a Toyota Hilux from the car park and used it to ram through the security gates and flee the area. A large section of the gate remained wrapped around the front section of the vehicle.

A police pursuit was initiated, ending when the offenders abandoned the vehicle in parkland in Moulden. The three youths fled the area and were tracked by members from Strike Force Trident, the Dog Operations Unit, general duties officers, and police CCTV operators.

The three offenders aged 15, 15, and 16, were located at a unit complex in Gray where they were arrested without incident.

All three were charged with Trespass - Entering Without Authority and Driving, and Using/Riding Motor Vehicle Without Consent, and were remanded in custody to appear in court today.
