Police Nab Suspect in Alice Springs Burglary Attempt

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested an 18-year-old male in relation to an attempted burglary and criminal damage incident that occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

At 1am this morning, police received multiple reports from the owner of a licensed premises in Todd Street that a male offender was attempting to unlawfully enter the premises.

CCTV operators observed the male gaining access to the roof of the building and allegedly damaging a security camera.

Members from Strike Force Viper attended and arrested the 18-year-old nearby and he is expected to be charged later today.

It was established that entry was not gained to the premises.
