Police Nab Suspect in Elizabeth Vale Motorcycle Heist

A man was arrested after a motorcycle was stolen during a robbery at Elizabeth Vale this afternoon.

Police were called to John Rice Avenue, Elizabeth Vale at midday on Tuesday 27 August by reports a man had his red Honda motorcycle stolen by two men who approached him on another motorcycle.

The two suspects rode away on the two motorcycles.

Police located the stolen motorcycle abandoned near a creek bed in Harry Bowey Reserve.

Investigations led police to an Elizabeth Vale address where Police arrested a suspect.

A 23-year-old Elizabeth Vale man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and riding unlicensed. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday 28 August.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the motorcycle and scene. Investigations are continuing.
