A 39-year-old male Northern Territory Police Officer has been served with a Notice to Appear following an incident in Palmerston on 2 August.
The officer has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and is required to appear in Darwin Local Court on 16 September 2024.
The officer has been suspended from duty with pay.
