Northern Territory Police have charged a 40-year-old police officer in connection with an incident in Muirhead over the weekend.
The officer has been charged with the following offences:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol
- Careless driving
- Failure to provide breath for analysis
- Going armed in public
- Failure to meet storage requirements x 3
He has been suspended with pay pending further investigation and has been bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 16 May 2024.
The matter is currently under investigation. As the case is now before the courts, no additional information will be provided.
