Police Officer Charged, North Coast Region 8 April

A 53-year-old male senior constable from the North Coast Region has been charged in relation to an alleged assault matter.

The member has been charged with serious assault, public nuisance, and breach of DVO, allegedly committed while off duty.

The member has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on May 6, 2025.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
