A 43-year-old Senior Constable from the South Eastern Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to an alleged assault occasioning bodily harm whilst on duty involving excessive use of force towards a 20-year-old Regents Park resident.
The alleged incident was reported to police on 30 December 2023.
The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to reappear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 4 December 2024 for an offence of assault occasioning bodily harm.
