Police officer charged - Western Region

A police officer has been charged over alleged domestic violence and misconduct offences.

In October this year, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation into alleged domestic violence-related offences.

Following inquiries, a 41-year-old male sergeant – attached to Western Region – was issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) on Wednesday 10 November 2021.

He was charged with three counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm and access/modify restricted data held in computer.

The man is next due to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday 17 February 2022.

His employment status remains under review.
