Police probe after property seized during search warrant in Cobar

Investigations are underway after police seized drugs and stolen property – including two motorbikes – from a home in Cobar yesterday.

Strike Force Wallanganda was established by detectives from Darling River Local Area Command to investigate a number of break and enters on properties in the Nymagee area this year, including one during which 14 firearms were stolen.

About 10.45am yesterday today, following investigations, Strike Force detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Yarran Circle, Cobar.

During the search warrant, officers found property believed to have been stolen, including, two motorbikes, fuel containers, CB radios, and a canopy from a Toyota four wheel drive.

Also found at the home were an amount of drugs believed to be cannabis, and two rifle barrels.

All items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
