Police Probe After Two Bodies Found In Burwood

An investigation is underway after two bodies were located in Burwood today.

Just after 9.45am (Monday 12 August 2024), emergency services were called to the courtyard of a building on Conder Street, Burwood, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command arrived to find the body of a man.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Burwood Police attended a unit of the building complex where they located the body of a woman with stab wounds.

She is yet to be formally identified.

A second crime scene was established and will undergo forensic examination.
