Police probe armed robbery in Richmond

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of a pharmacy in Richmond last night, NSW Police say.

Just after 8pm today, a man armed with a knife entered the pharmacy at the Richmond Marketplace on March Street, and approached two employees.

Police have been told the armed man threatened the pair, before demanding money.

The employees – a 19-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man – complied and handed over cash, before the man fled the scene.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury Local Area Command were notified of the incident and attended, before establishing a crime scene.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described only as wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper, pants and shoes.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Crime Stopers.
