An investigation is underway into the circumstances leading up to the death of woman after she was found critically injured in Parramatta this morning.
Emergency services were called to a high-rise unit block in River Road about 1.40am (Thursday 2 January 2025), after a woman was found on the street suffering multiple injuries.
Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command commenced CPR; however, the woman was unable to be revived and died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced, with police speaking with a number of people at the unit block.
Police have been told the woman, believed to be aged 39, fell from the balcony of her seventh-floor unit.
Detectives have arrested a 40-year-old man which police allege is the woman's partner. He remains at Parramatta Police Station.
