Police Probe Fatal Crash at Hodgson Vale

A man has died following a vehicle and pedestrian traffic crash in Hodgson Vale, south of Toowoomba, on December 31, 2024.

Investigations indicate that shortly before 9pm, a white single cab Hilux was travelling along Windermere Drive before striking the 57-year-old Toowoomba man near Hazelmere Court.

The Hilux has allegedly failed to remain at the scene, however subsequent investigation have since located the vehicle and further enquires are ongoing.

The man was initially transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment; however, he passed away from his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident and is continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed it or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
