Police Probe Leichhardt Break-In

Police are appealing for public assistance following two break and enter offences in Sydney's Inner West.

On Thursday (3 October 2024), officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of two alleged break and enter offences in Glebe area:

  • About 8.45am on Wednesday (2 October 2024), an unknown man allegedly gained entry into a residential property on Wigram Road, Glebe, before he stole a passport, a handbag and headphones and left the scene.
  • About 3am on Thursday (3 October 2024), a man allegedly stole a black backpack, a book and food at another address on Wigram Road, Glebe before leaving the scene.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak to the man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

It is alleged the man is described as being of medium build and aged 30s.

He was last seen wearing a grey jumper.
