Two police officers and a civilian have been injured following a multiple vehicle crash in Sydney's south west this morning.
About 8.50am (Thursday 29 August 2024), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Lansdowne, after reports of a three-vehicle crash involving a police vehicle and two other vehicles.
The police vehicle was conducting urgent duties, when it collided with two other vehicles travelling in the opposite direction at the intersection of Woodville Road.
The two male senior constables, aged 43 and 55, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment. They remain there in stable conditions.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, was also treated and taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
