Police Probe Sudden Death In Palm Island

Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman on Palm Island on Sunday, September 1.

Emergency services were called to a Clump Road residence about 9am following reports a 39-year-old woman had sustained a life-threatening head injury.

She was airlifted to Townsville University Hospital for treatment, however passed away on Tuesday, September 3.

Police investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No charges have been laid in relation to this matter, anyone with information is urged to contact police.
