Police Probe Sudden Death In Russell Island

Police are making enquiries following the sudden death of a man at Russell Island today, September 1.

At approximately 12.30pm, emergency services were called to a jetty near High Street following reports of an overturned vessel and a man found unresponsive in the water.

Upon arrival, the body of a man was discovered.

Water Police, with the assistance of Coast Guard, are conducting searches in the area to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
