Police Probe Suspicious Wagga Wagga Fire

Police are appealing for information following a fire at a business in the Riverina region.

About 11pm Monday (20 January 2024), emergency services were called to a two-storey business on the corner of Fitzmaurice and Kincaid streets, Wagga Wagga following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW responded and extinguished the blaze. The building sustained smoke and water damage.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.

Police want to speak with two females who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first is described as Caucasian in appearance, with blonde hair, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes, carrying a light-coloured backpack.

The second is described as Caucasian in appearance, brown hair, and wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts with white trim and black shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward and contact Wagga Wagga Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
