Two men have been charged following a robbery with violence at Forest Lake yesterday (July 2).
It will be alleged around 5pm four men arrived at a Ballandean Court address and demanded the occupants hand over an e-scooter. When they refused an altercation occurred where the victims armed themselves with shovels and the men produced knives.
Three victims from the home sustained puncture wounds and were transported to hospital, one was seriously injured.
A dog residing at the property was allegedly stabbed during the incident and emergency vet treatment was sought, however later died from its injuries.
With the assistance of Polair, three men were taken into custody at nearby Pringle and Oldbury Place without incident.
A 24-year-old Goodna man has been charged with two counts of wounding and one count each of serious animal cruelty, attempt to enter premises and threatening violence.
He appeared in Richlands Magistrates Court this morning and will remain in custody until his next appearance on October 16.
A 20-year-old Darra man has been charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs (cannabis, alprazolam and methylamphetamine), two counts of wounding and one count each of serious animal cruelty, threatening violence, attempt to enter premises and possessing counterfeit money.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 4.
Investigations continue and police call for witnesses with relevant dashcam or CCTV to come forward.
