Police Release Images in Nowra Prisoner Hunt

Police are re-appealing for information to locate a man who escaped from a correctional facility on the South Coast last week.

David Johnson, aged 44, was last seen on The Links Road, South Nowra, about 7:45am on Wednesday 29 January 2025.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District commenced an investigation to locate him.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall, with a medium build, brown hair, blue eyes and a goatee-style beard. He has a number of distinctive tattoos, including a dragon or snake over his right shoulder, a large animal on his thigh and a name across his back, possibly 'Kayla'.

Police have released new images of clothing he may be wearing including a grey singlet, khaki shorts and black thongs.

He is known to frequent the ACT, Queanbeyan and Wollongong areas.

Anyone who sees Johnson is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
