Police Respond to Fatal Maiden Gully Collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Maiden Gully yesterday.

Police have been told a Ford Falcon wagon was travelling west along Marong Road, near Kronk Street, when it veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with three other cars about 5.45pm.

The driver of the Ford was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two other drivers and one passenger, from two of the other vehicles involved, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sadly the driver of the third car, a 76-year-old man from Maiden Gully, died after being taken to hospital.
