Police Responding To Fatal Motorcycle Crash At Burua

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle traffic crash at Burua, south of Gladstone, early this morning, June 22.

Initial investigations indicate just before 12.30am, a motorbike was travelling along the Dawson Highway when it left the road and crashed near the Jim Whyte Way exit.

The rider, a 55-year-old Calliope man, was declared deceased at the scene.

Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
