Police Responding To Fatal Motorcycle Crash At Inverell

A man has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the state's north west.

Just before 9:50am today (Monday 26 August 2024), emergency services were called to Warialda Road, south of Yetman, approximately 118kms north of Inverell, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to New England Police District found a motorcycle rider had been thrown from a bike.

The rider, a 70-year-old man, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
