A woman has died following a motorcycle crash in the state's south.
About 1pm today (Sunday 13 October 2024) emergency services were called to Old Mill Road, Wolumla – about 20km south of Bega – after reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The rider, a 34-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The pillion passenger – a six-year-old boy – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries before being airlifted to a Sydney Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the car, a woman-year-old 28, was treated for shock before being taken to South East Regional Hospital, Bega for mandatory testing.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District established a crime scene and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
