Police Responding To Fatal Motorcycle Crash At Medowie

A rider has died following a crash in Port Stephens earlier today.

About 11.30am (Monday 25 November 2024), emergency services were called to Abundance Road, Medowie, following reports a motorcycle and motor vehicle had collided.

On arrival, officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District found the rider with life-threatening injuries.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be a man aged in his 20s.

The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured; however, was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene which is being forensically examined.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
