The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Mcdesme, south of Ayr, this evening, December 1.
Initial investigations indicate just before 6pm, a green 2003 Daewoo Kalos was travelling along Kilrie Road when it struck a power pole.
The driver, a 63-year-old Jarvisfield man, was declared deceased at the scene.
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
