Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Rochedale

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Rochedale this morning, July 3.

Initial investigations indicate a grey Subaru Impreza was travelling north along Rochedale Road near Grieves Road when it left the road and struck a pole.

The passenger, a 19-year-old Wynnum man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 33-year-old Wynnum West man, was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision of the vehicle prior to the crash is urged to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
