Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Buderim 16 July

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after an 11-year-old boy died following a bus crash in Buderim this afternoon, July 16.

Preliminary inquiries indicate at approximately 3.45pm, a bus was travelling along Jingellic Drive near Karawatha Drive when it struck a bicycle.

The rider, an 11-year-old boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he was later declared deceased.

The driver, a man in his 60s, was not physically injured, and is assisting police with investigations.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
